Sussex County Action Prevention CoalitionJeff and Dupree are the Co-founders of SCAPC. They have gathered people from the community who have been effected by the heroin epidemic and have taken to the streets to fight the war that has penetrated our neighborhoods throughout the States of Delmarva.
Sussex County Action Prevention Coalition is doing everything they can to combat the drug epidemic that is plaguing our local area. SCAPC teaches drug prevention to the youth and acts as a resource for those seeking referrals to drug treatment firms to become drug free. Jeff and Dupree lead the effort by setting up chapters in different towns throughout Delaware and works with local Police Departments to enforce neighborhood watches to stop the exchange of drugs within the residential community. SCAPC hosts an Annual Anti-Drug Conference that highlight the youth from Delaware school districts who work to spread the anti-drug message throughout their communities. SCAPC reaches 1000 students per year who learn about drug prevention weekly. Jeffrey Benson holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from Wilmington University and currently serves on the Seaford School District Board of Education, the Board of Directors for the Delaware Center for Justice, is a member of the Georgetown Economic Development Council, Governor Appointed Delaware TANF Welfare Employment Committee Member, Leadership Delaware Fellow Class of 2013 and is an active body within his local community. Dupree Johnson holds a Bachelor's Degree in Theology and currently serves as the establishmentarian and Pastor of New Genesis Rock of Love Christian Ministries, Inc., and facilitator of Men 2 Men Rights of Passage Program for young males. Both men have been awarded the Mountaire Better Delmarva Award, as well as, other honors in regards to their leadership and work in their community. Jeff and Dupree work tirelessly to improve their local community and Delmarva as a whole. They are devoted husband's and excellent father's to each of their kids. They both have a heart for people and try to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. |
